How is everybody doing?

Happy Thanksgiving you turkeys!! Have any of you finished November's book yet? I'll be honest, I have it on my nightstand, but I haven't read it yet. I'm using it as a reward for when I finish a couple of projects I've been putting off because I REALLY don't want to do them. I am in charge of choosing the next book, I think, but if nobody has finished this one do we want to wait and give ourselves an extra month? Or is that just ridiculous? Also, do we want to choose a Christmas-y book for December, or do you not care?

I totally didn't read the book this month because of moving and stress. I would love to have one more month to do it. Then Cami can pick for January. Who's in?

I love that idea. I haven't started it either with the move and the new job and everything. This is actually the first time I have gotten on here since I last posted. Deb, I totally missed you being in Palo Alto. Dang! Let me know next time you're around. I'm down for one more month with this book.

Agreed. I am 10 pages into it, woops! Amy, so sorry we couldn't connect, it was a whirlwind trip. Who is going to be in Merced for Christmas!!?? Maybe we can have a little book club lunch for real.

I LOVE the idea of a book club lunch! I will be in Merced from Dec. 27-Jan. 2nd.

I'll be in Merced too! I'll be home for like 2 weeks starting the 18th. That's what I love about teaching...I get off whatever the kids do. The lunch idea is great!

I'm totally freaking out! I can probably come to a Merced lunch! I'll be in Sparks, NV (right by Reno) until probably the 28th. If the weather over Donner Pass is okay then I would totally drive down for a lunch! Cami - what time do you arrive on the 27th? And would it be too stressful to do it that day or the 28th?

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU ALL IN MERCED!!!!!!

Oh and also, I have not yet even picked up the book, so I'm in for spreading this one to December :)

I'm totally game for lunch anytime the week in between Christmas and New Year's. Also, I'm game for extending the time but I feel like we should read some kind of short Christmas story, too. Like maybe A Christmas Carol, or a chapter in Jesus the Christ...

Good idea Kim! A Christmas Carol is a good one, or I heard that The Christmas Box is really good, but I've never read it. It's one of those short stories by Richard Paul Evans...but maybe everyone has already read that one. I'm good with whatever.

Lunch on the 28th sounds great to me! Camille, we fly into Sacramento around 12:30pm on the 27th. Maybe we could bring in Randi via skype, although I'm sure it would be really annoying to be on the other end of that.
So what do we want to read for Christmas?
